Maintenance Technician

Your Tasks
- Performs preventive maintenance on HVAC systems in all buildings, under the direction of contractors or plant manager. Maintains tracking mechanism to show requirements and completion dates.
- Manages company vehicle maintenance program. Maintains spreadsheet listing all company vehicles and their maintenance requirements. May perform maintenance tasks or coordinate with outside service. Includes completion dates.
- Performs minor electrical repairs as required. This includes but is not limited to: outlet replacement, fluorescent bulb replacement and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Performs minor plumbing repairs as required. This includes but not limited to: clearing clogs, sealing leaks and troubleshooting plumbing issues.
- Serves as main contact for alarm systems, cranes, recycling efforts and waste removal.
- Monitors and manages electrical usage involving air conditioning units
- Performs general building maintenance which involves painting, caulking and other tasks.
- May coordinate site metal recycling pickup.
- May clear snow from entrance door areas as required.
- May perform landscaping duties. This includes but not limited to: replacing mulch, planting flowers, removing weeds.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.
Your Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years’ experience in commercial maintenance including responsibility for electrical, plumbing and HVAC or equivalent combination of education and experience.
