Annual Results Press Conference, March 26, 2010

The 2009 Annual Report was part of presentations made to the public at this year's Annual Results Press Conference of Salzgitter AG.

The dividend proposal to be put forward by the Executive Board and Supervisory Board to the Annual Meeting of Shareholders on June 8, 2010, in Braunschweig comes to € 0.25.

In a special meeting to be held in July 2010, the Supervisory Board of Salzgitter AG will appoint Prof. Dr. Heinz Jörg Fuhrmann, Vice Chairman and Chief Financial Officer of Salzgitter AG, to the position of Chairman of the Executive Board and Chief Executive Officer, and thereby as the successor to Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Leese from July, 1, 2010.

Prof. Dr. Leese welcomes this decision wholeheartedly, because he regards it as a guarantee of the continuity of work currently performed by the Executive Board and of the good cooperation between the members of the Executive Board.
