Salzgitter AG at ITM Poland

As an international trade fair for innovation, technologies and machinery, the ITM Poland in Posen, which will take place from June 8-11, 2010, ranks as the largest trade fair of its kind in Poland. With its subsidiaries Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel, Peiner Träger, Salzgitter Mannesmann Line Pipe and Salzgitter Mannesmann Precision, the Salzgitter Group will be on location at the ITM in Hall 5, Stand 146.

Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel Sp. z o.o. is the exclusive sales partner of the steel works of the Salzgitter Group and, as part of Salzgitter Mannesmann Handel, responsible for stockholding steel trading in Poland. Salzgitter Mannesmann Stahlhandel serves key customer sectors in Poland, such as steel construction and mechanical engineering, as well as strategic regional trader customers with section steel, plate, cold rolled steel and tubes.

Salzgitter Mannesmann Line Pipe GmbH, a leading manufacturer of HFI-welded steel tubes, is also exhibiting at this year’s event and will showcase its product range in dimensions of up to DN 600 and a maximum wall thickness of 25.4 mm as exemplified by two hot finished construction tubes / MSH sections and a tube equipped with a flange-and-groove joint for machinery and plant engineering. Round, square and rectangular construction tubes / MSH sections are employed in many technical applications in steel and mechanical engineering as structural elements: in the construction and design of buildings, transport facilities and ship building, as well as in the production of crane systems, etc. Tubes for machine and plant construction are find use in textile machinery, mechanical and apparatus engineering as well as conveyor technology. The consistent tight tolerance for diameters and ovality enable the particularly cost efficient production of these tubes.

Salzgitter Mannesmann Precision GmbH is exhibiting an excerpt from its extensive production program, from seamless and welded precision steel tubes in dimensions of 1.5 to 380 mm in diameter and wall thicknesses of 0.2 to 25.0 mm. Application areas for precision steel tubes comprise the automotive and utility vehicles industry, the construction machinery sector as well as the energy and drilling industries. SMP presents trade fair visitors with cold-drawn hydraulic cylinders in high-density steels for construction cranes and excavators, hydraulic and pneumatic lines pipes for the general construction machinery sector and supplier industry. Precision steel tubes also find widespread application in the general machinery and plant engineering areas.
