Steel Division - Johannes Nonn (44, Dipl.-Wirtschaftsingenieur) appointed new Executive Board member

We regret that Hans Fischer (53, Dipl.-Ing.), the Salzgitter AG Executive Board member responsible for the Steel Division, has requested the Supervisory Board to discontinue his employment contract as of December 31, 2009 after nine successful years at Salzgitter AG. In future, Hans Fischer will assume a larger task scope at ThyssenKrupp.

At an extraordinary meeting held on November 16, 2009, the Supervisory Board accepted his request, and simultaneously appointed Mr Nonn (44, graduate of industrial engineering) as member of the Executive Board of Salzgitter AG for the period from January 1, 2010 until December 31, 2014, with responsibility for the Steel Division. Mr Nonn been active for the Group since 2002. To date, he has held the position of managing director of Salzgitter Flachstahl and is an Executive Board member within the Salzgitter Stahl management company.
