SPINNING (STEEL) WOOL
A man uses glowing steel wool to paint a sculpture from light in a snow-covered forest. Al- though the final photo is spectacular, the scene appeared rather subdued through the lens. This is because there’s a trick to steel wool spinning, namely using five-second exposures. During the exposure time, the steel wool ignited with a lighter is swung around, creating the threads and circles that light up the photo.
