Revolutionary E-Learning module for external drivers and external company employees

Day in, day out, many trucks and construction and installation vehicles pass through Gate 6 at Salzgitter Flachstahl and then move on to one of the many destinations.

Until now, the Occupational Safety and Environmental Protection areas provided external companies with only general safety training. In addition, each driver who would like to have a permanent ID for driving on the steel plant grounds also has to receive instructions in the correct conduct on the plant premises. The instructions are given at Gate 6 by a WEB-based orientation module. After working through the contents on one of the five available terminals, drivers must answer some questions in order to ensure that they have understood what they have seen. Drivers who pass this test are issued a certificate, which is valid for one year and which is needed in order to obtain a permanent ID. Only then can the driver drive on the grounds.

The instruction module is currently available in English and German, and other languages will be added soon. This approach is intended to ensure that all people on the Salzgitter Flachstahl factory grounds observe safe practices. The "Traffic and proper conduct in traffic" topic is the first step in this connection, and plans already call for other topics "Hazardous areas", etc.) to be added.
