Salzgitter Group at the Hannover Messe

First stop on the "Industry 4.0" Technology Tour

The motto of the HANNOVER MESSE 2015 from April 13 - 17 is "Integrated Industry - Join the Network". It illustrates the key topics in the industrial value chain, from single components to intelligent factories.

The Salzgitter Group is once again on location as an important exhibitor at the Industrial Supply trade fair, this time in Hall 6, Stand F02. Together with its subsidiaries, the Group is presenting innovations for industry and the automotive sector, and is looking forward to an intensive exchange of ideas with trade fair visitors, customers and partners.

The Salzgitter stand will be the starting point for the "Industry 4.0" Technology Tour. The stand will present an innovative research project from the subsidiary KHS GmbH. Two guided groups will visit the Salzgitter stand twice a day and learn about the project.

In connection with the Direct Print Machine (printing directly on to PET bottles), RFID tags are used to simulate pucks, which are intelligent workpiece carriers for transporting and aligning PET bottles. In the particular configuration opted for, the HMI (Human Machine Interface) display and the tablet display react to changes in the data situation and dynamically and automatically adjust the necessary documentation.

The trade fair appearance also focuses on the new brand strategy at Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH (SZFG). Under the slogan of "Names Sharpen the Image", SZFG has developed a new product name concept that follows a clearly defined system. Exhibits such as an integral support for the Mercedes C-Class and a demonstrator for the color diversity of FolaSal® are examples of applications for the new products and their names.

A highlight exhibit is the truck driver's cab for the TGL Series Type L10C from MAN. SZFG supplies MAN with various grades of steel. The driver's cab includes components that are manufactured from soft steels for cold forming.

The Salzgitter AG Customer Day in Pavilion P32 on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 will be the meeting point for the steel industry and Salzgitter Group partners starting at 3 p.m.
